holy crap, i'm old.
I just found an image archive from what I can only refer to as "my misguided youth". Seriously. It's an archive of pics from an old BBS I practically lived on and we always had local gatherings/parties/poker games/coffee nights/etc. In most of those pictures, I can't be more than 16. If you see me without the yin-yang tat on my left arm, it's definitely younger than 16. Damn.
We were kind of a frightening gang back then. But again, you have to keep in mind...this was back in the mid-90s. That was a weird time. I found one pic in particular in which I don't look horribly pimple-faced or with an unfortunate hair style and coincidentally, Avery's in it too (the guy on the left).
The internet just scares the hell out of me sometimes when I run across this old stuff from my "former life", as it were.

I've known for ages that I share a birthday with Macaulay Culkin (he's a year younger than me) and that's really the only celeb of note that I thought I shared a birthday with. But lo and behold, I just discovered another August 26th bday today and it's actually someone of whom I'm a big fan - Shirley Manson of the band Garbage. Been a fan of Garbage for years and I can't believe I didn't know that (I also apparently share a birthday with Corky as well, but I'm not going to get into that...).
Another neat thing that happened on this day in history, from Wikipedia:

Surprisingly, all of my DS stuff has sold on Half.com (including my original DS itself) with the exception of this one. However, my DS Lite (currently in the process of shipping) is already covered in terms of sales, which is nice. Now the rest of my Half.com sales, including Hotel Dusk if/when it sells, are going for an eBook reader. The speed at which my books were initially selling has trailed off a bit, but if I'm lucky it'll pick up as we hit September and October. People at school, potential Christmas gifts, etc. Come on, buy, buy, buy!

I decided I didn't feel like putting up eBay auctions and resorted to Half.com (yeah, I know it's still eBay, but I'm tired of listing actual auctions). So, check out all the stuff here. The new stuff is the Nintendo DS along with the games. Buy, buy, buy! I'm also adding new books periodically as I finish reading them.
