What especially sucks is that I may have waited too long to get tix to see him in NYC next month. Ticketmaster isn't showing any tix available, but I'm going to keep checking as the date gets closer, just in case some pop up.
Danielle almost passed out she was laughing so hard when she saw this. Apparently she has a weak spot for dogs wearing wigs. Do a GIS for "dogs in wigs". It's worth it.
Apparently, someone has discovered the first-known internet posting regarding Transformers. Predictably, it's just a bunch of bitching, particularly about the first issue of the critically-acclaimed (throughout the TF fandom, at least) original Marvel G1 series. It's nice to see that the more things change, the more they stay the same.
Well, things are moving along pretty decently in the new house thus far. Living room's painted and the sofa's in there along with an area rug that really complements the room (courtesy of Danielle's parents).
The bedroom is pretty much done being painted with a few touch-ups needed here and there. Bed's been dismantled from the apartment and already transported over to the house to be reconstructed once the painting is completely done in the bedroom. In the meantime, we've got our Aerobed in the apartment. I'll probably be sore in the morning, but I'm usually sore these days. Once this move is over, I'm going right back to the doc to get this sciatica figured out.
Also, my pseudo-office room downstairs is done being primed and pretty much ready to be painted. Progress! Closer and closer to actually getting things truly moved in. One thing I've gotta make sure to do this week is take apart the kitchen table...provided Danielle cleans it off at some point. I have no idea how we continually manage to make such a mess of that thing.
Also, I'm very, very seriously considering going to see City and Colour in NYC at the Bowery Ballroom next month. Danielle's not really into my music scene - took her to see Margot & the Nuclear So and So's a couple months ago at the Bowery, but the show didn't really do it for her - so I'm going solo on this one. Tix are only $15, so once I add in Ticketmaster charges, the train into the city and the round trip on the subway, it'll be $35 or so for the night. Not too bad, considering I'd pay more than that alone just for the tickets for most of the more mainstream shows out there.
It's a good thing to be a fan of more obscure (relatively speaking) indie music, especially considering the costs we're incurring with the new house. But I figure, I don't get to see shows all that often these days (and a lot of the bands that I really dig these days don't seem to tour outside of Canada), so I'm entitled to a minor treat once in a while. It's only fair - I mean, I did take Danielle to see "Twilight", right?
